Gov. Inslee's proposed 95% Tax threatens the survival of Washington State small vape shop busin
Calling All Vaper's and Vapor Advocates!
We are currently in the midst of an all-out sintax war. Governor Jay Inslee proposed a 95% tax on all Electronic Cigarettes, E-Liquid and their components to meet his 2015 budget quota. This proposal, if approved, would also BAN all e-liquid flavors except Tobacco, Menthol and Mint along with a ban on all Internet sales.
The bills have been sponsored, meaning we need to TAKE ACTION now! It is imperative that we KILL these bills in order to preserve not only the affordability to vape, but the small businesses that provide you the vape supplies. If approved, HB 1645 & SB 5573 will decimate almost all of your local Tacoma and WA state small business vape shops. The last thing we want to see is a decrease in supply of vapor products and an increase of people going back to cigarettes. Vaping is not Tobacco! Do not be forced to go back to the cancer causing, 4,000+ chemical laden poison sticks.
What we are asking you to do is TAKE ACTION! Last year we were able to kill the bills completely thanks to a strong turn-out of registered voters, caring community members and the help from lobbyist paid for by donations to not profit organizations like The WA Vape Association. This year we need an even bigger turn out! Don't let them take away your right to live a healthier lifestyle.

The second thing you can do is Make Donations to support the non-profit vape association of your choice (Pink Lung Brigade, WA Vape Association, Anti-Smoking Alliance to name a few). Your donations help pay for the expensive cost of the lobbyist who are fighting every day in Olympia, to educate and change the minds of the sponsors of these bills in order to save your Right to Vape.
Make Your Voice Heard!!!!
Here are the steps to contact your Senator & House representatives:
1. Find your state legislative representatives. Use this link: http://app.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/. Under the “District Type” option you’ll need to select the button for “Legislative”. Type in your address and click the “Find My District” button.
2. Click on your State Senator and your 2 House Representatives to get their email and telephone numbers.
3. Email and Call each of your 3 representatives for your district and say something like this:
I am a voter in the (your district #) district and I strongly oppose the legislation put forth by either SB5573 (for your 1 Senator) or HB1645 (for your 2 Representatives).
Explain, in short, how vaping has changed your life for the better.
When calling, please be kind and respectful. It will not help our fight or your message if there is any harsh and/or aggressive language used. Remember to state your name and your district.
